You have a 'Game Manager' who controls NPCs, keeps track of Perils, rolls dice to determine random events like dungeon exploring and such
Main differences between actual game and this (not including house rules) are: I didn't need to buy any regular numbered dice as I already had some, so all up I only bought 3 things and it cost me less than the actual game itself (not including DLC), though it did take some time to put together. I also got a set of 100 1cm wooden cubes off Amazon and made those into dice by printing off faces and sticking them on (you can print on regular paper and use glue or can print onto stickers if that's more convenient) In terms of resources required I bought 4 sheets of A4 sized 4mm thick 'box board' and a pack of 25 sheets of A4 card stock and it was just barely enough (not including any regular paper used as I had stacks of that already). Most notable example is a 6 player hexagonal variant of the map. The beauty of physical games (and tabletop simulator I guess) is that you can house rule as much as you want, so we did change a couple things aside from just making it possible to play physically, but of course anyone who wants to use these designs doesn't have to use those rules. Through the process of making it there were a couple revisions made here and there after testing things out and discussing with the friends I'd played with, some pieces thrown out and replaced by better ones, etc. So in my designs everything is set up to be printed on A4 paper or card stock, cut out and glued. Something of a 'lockdown project' even though where I live hasn't ever really been in lockdown, I don't have a 3D printer and didn't want to be spending a lot of money getting things custom made for me. No where near as impressive as the ones by Akylos or Cousin Skeeter, but I still thought maybe worth sharing.
